  1.  What are the maps provided with Mermoz ?


Mermoz provides a single map (the «Aérodromes Français» map). But it is designed to work with the following map products:

  1.  U.S. VFR Maps (aka «Sectional Charts»)

  2.  French ICAO Map from IGN

  3.  Maps from Editerra


  1. What is «France OACI» map ?


It is a digital map published par IGN. It provides the digital equivalent of the four paper VFR charts 1/500.000 that most french pilots use for their VFR navigation. This map is updated yearly. It can be purchased directly from the application.


  1. What are «Air Million» maps ?


It is family of 1/1.000.000 maps published by Editerra. They cover all Europe. They can be bought directly from the application.


  1. What are «Sectional Charts» ?


These are VFR maps for United States. They are published by the Federal Aviation Admnistration (FAA) and can be downloaded freely from the FAA’s web site.


  1. What are the aeronautical data provided by Mermoz ?


Mermoz knows the list of the European and U.S. airports. It also knows all the nav aids (NDB and VOR) from these territories.


  1. Why «Mermoz» ?


Mermoz is the name of a famous french aviator who flew from 1920 to 1936 between France and South America.
